Kutluhan Bozkurt graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 1990. After practicing law as a self-employed lawyer for 2 years in Istanbul, he started working at Istanbul Courthouse as a judge/prosecutor intern in 1993. He was appointed as a judge in several cities between 1995 and 1999. He completed his Ph.D. studies in the fields of EU Law and International Law between February 2000 and June 2004 at Vienna University Faculty of Law, Austria. Within this period, he acquired master’s degree in the fields of European and International Business Law (LL.M. Eur.) at Munich Ludwig Maximilians University Faculty of Law, Germany. He worked as director of section of legal affairs at Denizbank AG between 2004 and 2006. Afterwards, he made postdoctoral research at United Nations University, Bruges/Belgium in 2006 and 2007. He worked as a lawyer at a A Law international law firm in Anvers/Belgium between 2009 and 2012.
His research fields are EU, EU and International Law, EU and International Business Law, International Investment Law, Banking Law, Energy and Petroleum Law, Contracts Law, Real Property Law, Law of Foreigners, Individual Applications to ECHR, Project Management and Project Expertise. Besides, Asst.Prof.Dr. Kutluhan Bozkurt participates as expert in international and EU projects since 2012.
