Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocasakal, born in Collogne in 1966, graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1986, and from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1990. For a while, he worked as an attorney at law. Following this, Prof. Kocasakal started to work as a Research assistant in the Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law at Galatasaray University. He has gained his Ph.D. degree with the thesis regarding money laundering crime. In 2005, Prof. Kocasakal received his assistant professorship with the thesis “Avrupa Birliği Ceza Hukukunun Esasları”. He gave numerous lecture in different universities. He also has numerous publications.
Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocasakal worked as a president of Istanbul Bar Association Human Rights Centre between 2004 and 2006. He was also a member of Istanbul Bar Association Board of Directors between 2008 and 2010. Prof. Kocasakal was a president of Istanbul Bar Association between 2010-2012. He maintains to be a head of the department of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law at Galatasaray University. He is fluent in French.
Mehmet Şua had represented Yeditepe University in the “Project on Spreading the Knowledge of Industrial Property” which is conducted by Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. Since 2012, Mehmet ŞUA has been acting as executive board member of Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmacoepidemiology Research Center (PEPIRC).
